{"heading" :" Barbour, the famous British brand renowned for its iconic waxed cotton jackets and outerwear, is back collaborating with ALEXACHUNG, the British brand founded by model, designer, and trendsetter Alexa Chung. Barbour's classic style is revisited through ALEXACHUNG's modern and extroverted gaze. This new collection takes us back to the '90s, to the unforgettable style of singers and pop icons wearing parkas and oversized jackets with large pockets, for a look focused on comfort." }
The new Barbour by ALEXACHUNG collection has been designed to be centred on suitability and quality. From cropped jackets to knee-length trench coats, the line includes several pieces with different shapes and lengths. Aiming at enhancing the Barbour tradition and its roots coming from the majestic English countryside, the new garments are made of waxed cotton while featuring some urban and modern details, such as hoods and large pockets. They represent the ideal solution not only to face rain and harsh weather, but also to spend pleasant evenings outdoors with friends, maybe singing and dancing around a campfire.

WP has selected from the collection some of the most interesting and representative items. The Hilda Quilted Jacket, a cosy coat with a double pattern (chessboard on the top and onion pattern towards the end of the piece), front buttoning and velvet finishing. Thanks to its cropped cut, the Lucille Jacket is the perfect choice for a more updated look. In a beautiful sandy colour, it keeps its classic tartan lining and enhances it with a patchwork style, giving out a more refreshing vibe. The modernity of the piece is accentuated by a few additional details, such as the diagonal pocket with zip fastener - the unmistakable signature of ALEXACHUNG. The Lyra Wax and Virginia Casual jackets are inspired by one of Barbour's most traditional garments, the Haydon, a piece which can be found in the brand's archives. In the end, we have the Nannie Wax trench coat, a knee-length jacket, featuring a waist belt and four front pockets, that combine its more feminine shape with the typical Barbour functionality.
