COTOPAXI

Cotopaxi takes inspiration from adventurous stories that make people see the world as a better place. They build gear that fuels both outdoor experiences and global change: that’s why they dedicate at least 1% of their revenue to nonprofits that help communities experiencing poverty. Cotopaxi is committed to reducing inequality and building a more sustainable fashion business model. They are a certified carbon neutral company that uses repurposed, recycled, or responsible materials. They are also a certified B Corporation, which means they use the power of business to create social, environmental, and economic good.

Davis Smith, Cotopaxi founder, grew up throughout Latin America, where he saw first-hand the hardship resulting from unequal access to opportunity. He has since dedicated himself to using business as a force for good in order to address the inequality he witnessed during his childhood. One of the world's highest active volcanoes, Cotopaxi (koh-toh-PAHK-see) in Ecuador had a major presence in Davis’s life—even his school was named for it. This mountain instilled in him the spirit of adventure and gratitude that eventually inspired him to found Cotopaxi the company.

Cotopaxi backpacks, accessories and outdoor clothing perfectly blends unique design and functionality: Cotopaxy gear guarantees the best technical performance wherever and whenever you need it, despite of the weather and external conditions. Cotopaxi pieces are colourful and fun, and they all have the iconic llama logo as a finishing touch. Llamas are indeed headstrong herd animals that live in some of the most rugged regions of the Andes. They’re hardy, sociable, fiercely loyal, curious, and eccentric—just like Cotopaxi itself.
